About FIRST Lego League

The FIRST Lego League (FLL for short) is the FIRST competition for elementary and middle school kids. Team members must program and design their robots with the LEGO MINDSTORMS kit, and must complete a task that  changes from year to year. Teams must also present their robot to a group of judges.

The 2009-10 challenge is called Smart Move. This is a two-part task: teams must first research transportation in their area and seek the safest and most efficient mode of transportation. They will need to write a report on the subject, then build a LEGO robot that can move from one place to another while bumping into as few obstacles as possible. More information is available at this link.
